Downloadable client?
I need to tell you that I'm new to this game (so new that I don't have account yet), but I'd like to point out that there is no visible way to download client. For some people it may be ok to play applets, but for others (like me), applets cause problems (for example I've never managed to make sound work in applets, but it works fine with normal java apps such as downloaded Minecraft client)
Hmmm…. weird that applets are performing different for you. I’m not sure if there’s a difference for 99% of people though…

@Chaos: Well, it is written in Java so it is easy to put it into .jar for download. Minecraft also can be run in browser and it's a java-based game. Same is here so it should be easy enough to convert it to java desktop app from applet.

Well, even if it isn't, for some running applets in browser adds lags if they have less RAM and like to use tweeter, facebook and have few other sites opened. Even browsers that uses small amount of RAM, can use even 1GB of it.
So the solution would be to use downloaded client and close browser.
Plus some people thinks that if game runs only in browser it has to be crap. They have reasoning browser game==utter shit written poorly in PHP that doesn't even use AJAX and every operation needs page refreshing. So it would be good also from marketing standpoint.
