    It would be cool, but the engine doesn’t lend itself well to things with many z-levels, and mining has been well explored already in games like infiniminer & minecraft…

    What if the underground was only generated as it was made visible? that way, the lag would be equal exactly to what would be built if it was built overground.

    also, make air buyable, and only used for digging, so digging is the same a building only backwards
