Few more ideas:
- A gold shirt would give you 1 more gold per enemy killed.
- A greyscale shirt would make you partially invisible, enemies won't detect you unless you're next to them
- A rainbow shirt heals you gradually
- A blue shirt will let you breathe underwater for twice as long
