    First of all, this would completely mess up the entire CONCEPT of 8bitMMO. Secondly, the word 'minecraft' springs to mind - Meep

    I completely agree. To make it simpler, officials should just be able to add/remove citizens for now (although not give/remove officialship). That would serve to keep towns alive for longer, and allow 'dual owned' towns, while not being quite so hard to implement.

    Or maybe only make this (^) possible if the mayor has been offline for a certain amount of time, say, 2 weeks. - Meep

    Alternatively, it could just be that if your town can't expand in a certain direction (edge of map/next to another town), the cost would be reduced accordingly. -Meep

    Need to fix; it won’t actually give you extra blocks, but it will appear to until you attempt to place them (or a relogin fixes it).

    Yeah, it does count wrongly if you rapidly pick up blocks. Can be quite annoying.

    I agree. I like the look of the gold coins. They're so... cheerful. I think there should be some way to control who can pick up gold in different areas. Perhaps there could be a way to place gold straight from the inventory which would work just like normal blocks (cannot be placed on other people's blocks, only you can pick it up etc), as well as the ideas originally suggested.

    I think this is a great idea, but I reckon it'd be even better if there was a trapdoor implemented as well. A trapdoor would simply be a door only taking half a block, so it fits better into floors.

    mattie0, just so you know, I have never played minecraft. I know very little about minecraft. I posted this idea because I genuinely think it would add a lot more to the game, not because minecraft has it. ... Sorry for the rant.

    I've been wanting this for ages. It's really annoying when a troll just builds stairs to get into your town. I would vote this up, but i'm down to 1 vote.

    Or perhaps the ability to put a block up for auction in a town, so people could have their own marketplaces. Corngamer already does this, but this suggestion would mean you wouldn't have to be there all the time.

    You say this as if there is already a way to dig. Digging is a rubbish idea, in my opinion. Good in theory, but think. SOMEONE would abuse it. They would mess up other people's houses, or create traps, or wreck projects. And it would involve drastically increasing the size of the world.

    I agree this is an epic idea. It would almost certainly cost plat, but it would so be worth it. Even for non-paying players, this would add so much to the game.
