Yes, I need to somehow automate the map generation. Currently I have to do it manually, and it takes two days to run (bleh)

    Good idea.

Additionally, if you could have a video and/or series of pictures showing how the map changes over time that would be great, too.

That would suck. Taking blocks away at random? That's not going to clear up the "random blocks everywhere" problem, that's going to make holes and things in perfectly good houses and other decent buildings all over the map. And then when you do log in, you won't know which buildings your blocks got taken from, so it'll be a pain in the ass trying to repair them.

There's much better ways to "declutterize".

Maybe you could buy a special teleporter that goes to an off-map town where you can build whatever you want in that one area you purchased?

I made the grass really high in one spot, and then when I was trying to pick it back up I couldn't see it because it was auto-disappearing. So, in addition to being able to hide tall things, there should be a way to force them to be visible.

Or just have a teleporter in town that sends you to a place that's impossible to build on, so that there'll always be a place for lawyer cats. It could be a place you can't get to by walking around - you'd have to teleport.

And/or there should be unbuildable areas in the regular part of the game.

Sending gifts sounds ok, but they should get it when they log on, not have to find it in their house.

Also, if the other person hasn't picked it up yet, you should be able to take it back.

Good idea, and would help with database clutter. May need to make it a disposal chute instead to keep down on the total active objects in-game.

Maybe convert the unneeded blocks into money?

I'm against the idea. I'm always dying because of lag (not sure if my computer or the game, though), I don't want to lose my gold because of it.

Also, I like to just keep going out into the wilderness killing cats for as long as possible until I die. That would waste a good chunk of the money I boringly grinded for.

A lottery sounds ok, but people putting money into it should be voluntary, not as a result of a death tax or something.

I need to decide if this is a bug, or a feature. Afterall, spikes can get annoying, so a way to get rid of them isn’t necessarily all bad… ;)

Maybe have it where if enough people die on a trap it has to be re-set by its owner before it can kill people again? So not destroyed, just inactive.

Hmm, this could be used to grief… but I do know it’s annoying to have immobile blocks in the way of your projects by players who are no longer active.

I'm trying to make a road system, which, if completed, should be useful even if I never play again. Even destroying one block could cause problems as people could use that gap to create a blockade and prevent people from traveling. I'm putting a lot of work into it, so I don't want it taken down when I go. I'm sure other people feel the same way about projects they make.

But, I agree that loose blocks and bits of structures that never get finished by people who forgot about that random block they put down or don't play anymore are annoying and can really interrupt what people are trying to make. There's one bit of broken building that I'd be fine with if it were just two spaces to the south, but as is really gets in my way. I wish there was a way to leave him a message, if he still plays that is.

If blocks do get taken out, they should be put back in the person's inventory so they can use them again if they ever return to the game. Killing cats is tiring and I wouldn't want someone to have to do it twice.

Maybe there should be a way to keep track of blocks you've placed so that you don't have to remember where each one is? For one, you could have a mode to make your blocks "glow" to you so you can see them when you're walking by. Another would be having a list, not necessarily of each individual block, but the general location where you've put things. Make it easy to clean up what you don't want anymore.

Not sure what to do about blocks from people who aren't playing anymore... maybe the admin can do a visual inspection once in a while of blocks from lost players (people gone for a couple months, especially those who only played for a day or two) and determine which ones should be set as "ruins" that people can destroy and which ones are part of something worth keeping and should stay as they are?
