I think this is a really good idea. Simply due to that fact that people all over the wrold are playing this game now and some of my new-found friend s play when I should have been in bed 4 hours ago. So, with this mailbox, players wouldn't have to wait and wait and wait for a certain player to come on to communicate with them. (Think citizen requests. Or even trade deals)

Now, on to the OTHER topics.
    1. I believe Caves/Castles/Dungeons have been brought up and Robby is thinking about it.
    2. Robby IS going to have more monsters to fight than cats and slugs.
    3. What up with the Classes? (Not the first time they have been mentioned) I just don't see how'd that work in a sandbox game...

Now I do understand that there are those with low-income and cannot spend as much as some of the other players. I am one such person. I used my birthday gift in the form of a GameStop gift card to finally get my town going. However, you must realize that Mr. Zinchak is heading up this project alone with his own funds and his own time. He quit his job to work on this fulltime. Were he to make things cheaper we would not have a game.

I just know I offended someone so I apologize. My whole point was that if you want to be a big-name you have to pay your dues (literally as the case is) so just get used to the idea that you are going to have to farm. Mayors have to be people who are going to stay in this game for numerous years until we're as popular as Minecraft or Terraria. They have to be willing to put in their time in order to achieve notoriety. Basically they have to be willing to do more than two months, let alone two days.

Probably the best way to sum up my point is the following quote:
"When everyone is super, no one will be." And that is why everyone can't have townstones so easily at their disposal.

....Boy, I sound like a prick.

Did you know that originally Robby did not have plat? And that a town stone was only 90g? Ain't that some interesting trivia?

Now, the reason it costs so dang much to get a stone plat or trading, is because they have to remain special and they should only belong to people who are planning to invest a small part of their lives in this game. This is because there are too many people who make an account, play for two days, then never come back. And this (if everyone could get townstones cheaper) would generate a lot of problems. If you really want a townstone then suck it up and pay for plat, or pay your dues and farm for that 6k. Because I'm tired of new players whining about how expensive everything is. You have a sword that makes dead kittehs drop gold. Use it.

Whatever would we use these abilities for? Not to snub you, but i just don't see where we would actually need abilities. However, if there was an ability called "Money-Get" that tripled your swag from the cats I'd be all for that :P

Due to the block limit and region limit this COULD POSSIBLY work. However that would most likely cause a HUMUNGOUS deal of lag every time someone with a lot of in-game blocks hits the button *cough, cough* Grim *cough* So while it could work the limitations and restrictions Sim is making to make things easier on himself and us make this idea hard to see actually being developed...apologies if I offend.

Although this is old, I'd figure I'd put my 2 cents in. As of now, there are armies forming, and those armies are usually all a part of the same town. So yes, there is an unofficial Guild system and Yes, the town system already does the job of preventing friendly fire.

I think this would be unfair for players OUTSIDE of wherever Sim lives. So, I offer this alternative:

    1) Start by setting up a booth at various cons throughout the country you live in
    2) Come your becoming famous, you can hold a 8bitMMOCon

And do this anually instead of monthly. (OR, you could hold a special chat room for planning...stuff. I don't know that's just what I'm thinking.)

Okay, how about this? During initial placement the stone asks what the measurements are (so long as it adds up to 100 x 100. Ie. 120 x 80, 40 x 160, etc) Then, when you buy additions it expands in size (square grows larger) by 1 or 2 sizes. Example: [_] before additions
    [ ]
    [__] after. Sort of. I can't explain it good here. It would go from 100 x 100 to 101 x 101

Hmm… Possibly. More fun for players to haggle with each other during trade, but I can see the usefulness of being able to leave a NPC somewhere with your goods.

He makes a good point. What's the point of having a market if no one wants to trade? (And there really is no point in trading to get your stuff 'cause you can just farm cats to achieve the same result.)

If I could add something to this idea, it be this. Along with being able to find your bricks i think it'd be nice to have a beacon that automatically tells you where your last kill was when you respawn. That way, if you died before you could pick up your loot you wouldn't have to spend hours looking for it again.
