An option to limit other players' swordswing sounds!
I'm about three minutes into the game and I'm charmed, but there are people hanging around the newbie areas just spamming swordswings at nothing, presumably because they're nascent trolls still in incubation who haven't learned about DDoS attacks yet. The tchktchktchk! sound five or six times a second is driving me to madness. Definitely detracting from my first impression (not that i'm letting it get to me!). Maybe limit how often a missed swordswing will play a sound for other players in certain areas? Or have the game notice players who're swinging over and over at nothing and prompt people nearby to mute their swings? I don't wanna turn off the game's sound completely, but maaan, it's painful.

Play on the Potato Server, problem solved. You'll figure it out.

crawlkill, no. Sim9 never added it.

Besides beeps from killing enemies, and walking sounds, the sword swing is the only sound effect in the game. Simply mute the game. You won't miss anything.

"presumably because they're nascent trolls still in incubation who haven't learned about DDoS attacks yet." What does spamming a sword has to have to do with a DDoS attack? I'm almost positive that barely causes any lag to the servers.

gah! I just went to a public combat area and it's not really any less bad, even though it's not deliberate trolling! is there already some option to control swordswing sounds?
