CRAFTING and MINING
crafting will require ores that you can get from mining, and combining weapons to make new extraordinary weapons and will be able to level up their crafting level to make stronger weapons out of old ones. mining will require a pickaxe which you can buy at the game store, and go into caves where you will be able to use the flashlights and mine ore , the better the ore the stronger the weapon will be , BUT you must have the correct type of pickaxe equipped to mine the ore , such as silver, gold, and steel, the ore will have hp that you will have to kill in order to get it , the ore will shoot pieces of rock at you when you hit it but will not move , then as monsters are in the cave to you see some monsters will try and interrupt your mining process , then when you are done with the mining process the ore goes into your inventory for later crafting or you can sell/buy to/from other players this way the economy will grow.

Ok, lets me just say this nicely.
NOONE WANTS 8BITMMO TO BE A NEW VERSION OF MINECRAFT

Another Mojang issue here. Lets make 8-bitmmo unique :)

My super awesome 8bitmmo crafting system
1st each type of mob will drop one crafting material 100 less often than gold. like the lawercats would drop whiskers. Hipsters coffee. Normal game reviewers magazines. And dires sharp foil
2nd 10 dropped materials can be crafted into a block. Whiskers will turn into a pile o'whiskers
coffee into a java block :). Magazines into a recycled stack. And the foil into a cutting block
3rd 1 of each material block will be crafted into paper money
4th 10 paper money is worth the equivalent 1 plat in store
5th crafting is done by a crafting block
6th there are two types of crafting blocks one that takes a day to make a PM and cost 2000g
and that takes a hour and cost 15p
7th making material blocks are instantaneous
8th also wild mobs only drop material

1. I don't like the caves idea. Why not random generated dungeons
3. Look at your idea and now look at minecraft. Do you see a resemblance? We don't want another minecraft style game. This game should have some crafting I do agree and maybe just a little mining, but NOT AT ALL like minecraft.
yeah go play minecraft... dont suggest this game to look like another...noob
1. One idea per post
2. Whats that all about caves? There are no caves. Its still not Minecraft!
3. Think about your idea again and how it fits to 8BitMMO
Here another concept: In the wilderness you can find resources like ore and wood (like the money earlier). You collect them by destroying them like a mob. You can craft with that on different crafting stations. You first need special recipes though to learn crafting recipes. So it may be possible to build new furniture. Maybe also armor and weapons which can have special boosts. Maybe like "Quick Iron Sword". So your attacks get 10% faster or whatever.
I share this idea... But i don't think something like Iron Ore has to be an own block. It could spawn in wilderness simply. And you get wood from bushes e.g. Then you can have special crafting stations like a normal crafting table... (WHY DO PEOPLE THINK CRAFTING TABLES ARE ONLY ALLOWED IN MINECRAFT??). Or an anvil, oven.... and so on. Maybe you can also plant wheat to bake bread. Then you would have individual items you could really sell!
Sounds like Terreria to me...
What an amazingly original idea! Must have taken a lot of thought and brain power to have come up with it!
i made a profession page and it has 4 professions and all the crafting recipes http://8bitmmo.uservoice.com/forums/150844-general/suggestions/5410229-profesions-and-info-lordbryon-
this isnt minecraft

It would be too much like minecraft .3.
Go play minecraft... -.-
hmmm if you want that you could make a game called that but who would cough minecraft cough
NO MINING but a crafting / npc looting system would be good.
*searches "pixel-graphics mining fighting and crafting game"*
Hmm this idea seems very original...
By the way, is there a certain voxel-based Mojang game you've been playing a lot recently?
