Ability to drop gold coins on the ground.
The ability can be given by placing a gold coin beside the gold counter and when clicked it works like a block.
The ability would be great for decorative purposes such as fountains or wishing wells and player built safes. It can also be used to drop gold around noobs just to be generous ( if any of us weren't greedy ). To prevent this ability to be abused or used to troll gold dropped would have to work different depending where dropped. That being said here is how I think it should work.
Gold dropped in the wilderness would be free for anyone to claim, Gold dropped in a town by outsiders will automatically be collected by the mayor. Gold dropped inside the town by the mayor or citizens would work like regular blocks. All gold dropped by a citizen in his/her town would be returned to him/her upon the removal of his/her citizenship. All gold dropped in areas owned by Sim should work like wilderness or he can decide to do whatever he wants with it. Dungeons work like wilderness.

Gold piles. If X amount of gold is dropped in the same spot it creates a pile. Say like 10g creats a small pile and 1000 makes a pig pile and 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000 makes a mountain.

I agree. I like the look of the gold coins. They're so... cheerful. I think there should be some way to control who can pick up gold in different areas. Perhaps there could be a way to place gold straight from the inventory which would work just like normal blocks (cannot be placed on other people's blocks, only you can pick it up etc), as well as the ideas originally suggested.
